CHARLES BLOCK Obituary

BLOCK--Charles Jerome, born April 15, 1935 in Brooklyn NY; passed away on November 26, 2022 at White Plains Hospital. He is the son of the late Albert and Paulette Block of Brooklyn, NY, and the brother of the late Andre Block. Charles graduated, with high distinction, from University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School of Business in 1955. He later graduated from NYU Law School in 1959. Charles was a founding partner of Loeb Block and Partners in New York, NY where he worked until 2021. His passions were his family, including his four children and five grandchildren, his dedication to his work, his clients and the stock market. Charles is survived by his wife; Brenda Block, to whom he has been happily married to for the past 42 wonderful years. He is survived by his children: Deborah Ann Block and Diana Block Garcia from his first wife, the late Ellen Block; and two wonderful sons who were brought into his life: Mark Leonard Levine and Kenneth James Levine. Charles is also survived by his five beloved grandchildren: Peter, Jordan, Rachel, Rebecca and Justin. Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, November 29 at 11:00am at Central Synagogue, 123 East 55th Street, NYC. Burial will be immediately following at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Hawthorne (Valhalla), NY. Donations can be made in Charles's memory to Central Synagogue and the White Plains Hospital Foundation.

I´m Elizabeth Casagrande, former secretary at LBW, and to Brenda, my sincere condolences. I had many happy days working with Charlie and Lenny Waksman, going from downtown to uptown, working with such a wonderful group of people. Rest in peace.
