CHARLES MINTER Obituary

MINTER--Charles L. Charles L. Minter, age 81, died on July 28, 2023 in Lower Makefield, PA. Mr. Minter was a Wall Street figure from the 1980's through the past decade. His genial nature belied his no nonsense approach to investing as a founder and Fund Manager of Comstock Partners, Inc. Charlie was a proud alumnus of Florida State University and held an MBA from NYU's Stern School of Business. He engaged in just about every sports activity with his wife and four children and his exemplary sportsmanship won him lasting friendships. His infectious enthusiasm was a gift and will always be missed.

I am Donna Newton, Charles´s cousin. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. He was the sweetest little boy growing up. He had the most wonderful smile and kept that through adulthood. We didn´t get to see much of the Minters once they moved to Florida. But I have great memories of our times together. I am 6 yrs older than Charles. And he was a favorite relative. I send love to Marilyn and Charles´s wife and kids.

My deepest sympathies to Dottie and family. Having met Charlie about 50 years ago when I started at Merrill Lynch, I was introduced to a most warm, caring, smart and fun guy. Memories of playing golf with him were classic. When he missed a short putt he would exclaim that he missed on purpose because he just wanted to know how we felt. His enthusiasm for life was infectious. His nickname at Merrill was the "King". Rightfully so.

My sincere sympathies to Dottie and the family. I thought Charlie was indestructible....he was such a good friend an an accomplished guy. He did much for me in bringing me to meet with people and showing how to beat the odds in almost anything. What a remarkable fun person he was. I feel his loss and am truly sorry he is gone. Again, my sympathies to his loving family. Bob Farrell
