CHARLES RYSKAMP

RYSKAMP--Charles. The Metropolitan Opera mourns the death of Charles Ryskamp, a devoted friend of our company for more than half a century. Charles was a distinguished member of the Met's board for more than 30 years, serving for much of that time as chairman of the Art and Archives Committee. The Met was privileged to be one of the many cultural institutions that Charles, a distinguished scholar and urbane gentleman, loved and supported with tremendous dedication. We will long remember his generosity, intelligence, charm, humor, and immense devotion to opera and the arts. His presence at the Met will be greatly missed by all his friends in our company.
