Uncle Charley was by Dad's best friend. I had the joy of knowing him all my life. My first memory was when I was 5 years old. He had a neat trick of a magic nickel that would spritze you and give you the same nickel and you could press and not make it work. Till this day, I do not know how he did it. Many years later in Westhampton Beach us kids would hang out at his Dad's house. Elizabeth was the housekeeper and would take us to the beach. She put on one of those bathing caps w/flowers and frolic in the surf with us. Forward to the summer of 1968. Uncle Charlie got married and had 2 daughters. Great house to hang out. Uncle Charlie was cool. He called me on my 50th birthday to tell me he remebered when I was 13 weeks old and met my Mom & Dad at the airport. Great joy. I am 56, I have never met a better person in my life. I tried and failed.
I keep trying and I got it. Be Uncle Charlie. Thank You.
Quick with a laugh.

Charley was my tennis partner for 20 years. Always a gentleman, and he gave me the nickname "The Commissioner", because I kept the schedules for our Tennis Groups. We will ALL miss him.
