Claudia and I were great friends in our senior year at the Bronx High School of Science. We probably spent about 80% of our time together laughing -- at what? Just about everything! -- when we were walking down the halls, or watching a movie, or just talking about our day. Claudia had the most infectious grin and delightfully conspiratorial manner of sharing a secret or making an otherwise-innocent observation!
We lost touch over the years, finally finding each other again on Facebook a few years ago, but I regret that we weren't able to meet up again in person. The world seems grayer to me now that Claudia isn't there, but I'm very grateful for the many joyful memories I still have of our times together.

Relentlessly - that´s how Claudia covered the company where I worked. We jousted over our P&L at the US Open, joked at the Financial Follies, argued on the phone and by email again and again and on and on. RIP, Claudia; seeing 1-111-1111 on my caller ID always let me know I was in for something interesting.

Claudia was a "Mensch" to the core, characterized by "responsibility fused with compassion, a sense that one's own personal needs and desires are limited by the needs and desires of others."

As a competitor, she was daunting. As a mentor, she was inspiring. And as a friend, she was unwavering. New York will be a duller place without her.

What a special character you were. I remember being terrified of you when we first met! Over years and through difficult times we became firm friends. I will miss our mid week check in emails. Thanks for the memories and Rest In Peace.
