Always loved when she conducted at New York City Ballet. I will really miss seeing her. So petite, so charming, and a simply wonderful energetic conductor. So really sorry to hear of her passing. What a great loss to this world.

She was a friend of my sister. They studied piano together in Brazil and she became a firend of our family. What an amazing career and what an amazing human being. My heart goes out to her husband. She will be missed!

Clotilde was a bright light. She added so much grace and enthusiasm to everything that she did. Her conducting was wonderful and she was always generous and giving of her knowledge about music. I will miss her engaging personality, her wit and flair for fashion. May she RiP.

What a huge deep loss. Clotilde was so personal. When not conducting, Clotilde made me laugh on several occasions. Her small stature only intensified her huge persona. She will be sorely missed. Thank you for years of watching you conduct sounds that imprinted my heart

A Maestrina, Clotilde Mafalda Pereira Carneiro Otranto, was a force of nature. Always challenging herself, she accomplished so many impressive goals in her life, despite ill health. I was fortunate to be able to count her as a friend. I offer my condolences to her devoted husband, Armando, and family.
