DANIEL FERRO Obituary

FERRO--Daniel, Voice Faculty Emeritus, The Juilliard School, died on November 18. In a career that stretched across five continents and included decorations by three governments for his extraordinary contributions to the arts, Daniel Ferro has taught some of opera's most legendary voices. Maestro Ferro was predeceased by his cherished wife, Beth Hollinger Ferro in 1974, his brother, Jack, and his sister, Evelyn. He is survived by his loving wife, Joy, his sons: Matthew (Katherine) and Jesse (Roni) and his five grandchildren: Jonah, Zara Beth, Aaron, Jett and Daniel. Funeral Services will be held at Temple Shaaray Tefila, 250 East 79th St. on Monday, November 23 at 12 Noon. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Daniel Ferro Vocal Program, Inc. 575 Madison Ave., Ste. 1006, New York, NY, 10022, which will be dedicated to continue to pass on to the next generation Daniel's legacy and life-long commitment to beautiful and healthy singing. www.ferrovocalprogram.org
