JoAnn-I just heard and I am devastated by this news. I cannot believe this is the first I am hearing about it. David was a mentor to me and I truly loved him. I am so sorry for your loss and I can't tell you how much I will miss him. All my love, Jaime-

Dear JoAnn: June and I are shocked and saddened by David's sudden death. During the time we worked together in the Canadian Consulate General in NYC, I developed a deep appreciation for his professionalism, knowledge and general competence. But more than anything, he exemplified decency, honesty, empathy, real family values, a dry sense of humour, and was a real special person and friend. I am so sorry we never were able to accept one of his many invitations to visit you both at Skytops, something I shall always regret. Tony and June Eyton

Dear JoAnn, Sarah, Caroline,Sara Lenihan, Douglas, Cindy, Gregory and Courtney Heisen; Sarina and Jacob Downs; Michael, Barbara, Kathryn Lochrie, Laura, Michael,
I am sorry for your loss. I am devastated. An abrupt demise is beyond heartbreak. I cannot fathom your grief for losing a loving man. I was David's Executive Assistant at the Canadian Consulate of New York . When he was recalled, I stepped down as well. I was reaching my peak swiftly at such a young age, with his confidence in me. He was my mentor, the bestest boss I have ever had. My learnings from him have been valuable in every step of my professional life until where I am now. He was street smart, and he made me more street smart. I will miss his email conversations all these years since we stayed in touch. Our last conversation was 18 November 2017. My thoughts and prayers are with you all and for David's eternal peace. Yours sincerely, Carmina Cruz

I grew up in the same neighborhood with Dave. He was always a sweet and kind person. When I re met him at our 40th high school reunion, I was again charmed by his warm presence, and met his lovely wife Jo Ann. He told me how happy he was with her. There is no one that deserved happiness more than Dave. He had accomplished so much in his life, but remained humble and accepting of others, who had less than he did. What a terrible loss for his family and all who knew him. With deepest sympathy, Ellen Curran

We were very saddened to hear that David had passed away. We met David and JoAnn in St. Maarten through mutual friends and had dinner and a few occasions to be together. What we will remember is his wonderful personality and sense of humor. And his great smile.
Our most sincere condolences to JoAnn and family.

Dear JoAnn and all of David's family:
If I may speak for the numerous comments made about David's
death, you should know we ,the class of 1972, of Hobart and William Smith Colleges are shocked, saddened, and very fondly remembering David this past week. Our Class Facebook Page is filled with comments about our friend David, and about how we must send our love and care to JoAnn, to David's kids and to all his family members. While some of us will be joining you in Princeton tomorrow and Wed. many, many I of us will be with you in spirit.
I will bring some pictures from some of our reunions to share when I see you tomorrow. So many have mentioned how relieved, sad, but relieved, we are for the wonderful Reunion we enjoyed with David and JoAnn last June, 2017. We had so many plans for future reunions......God be with all of you, especially, David, PollySW
