DELIA GOTTLIEB Obituary
(Delia Potofsky) a woman who touched many lives for many decades died peacefully, in her daughter Barbara's home, at 97. She was born on June 28, 1919 and died on May 7, 2017. She will always be loved and treasured by her family and friends. Donations in memory of Delia can be made to the Leukemia Research Foundation.

I have been thinking of Delia lately, and just found her obit. I am a jazz lover and also a lover of William Gottlieb's photos of musicians. But I met Delia first as a librarian. I did the same work at the Suffolk Cooperative Library System as Delia did at the Nassau Library System. We shared several projects together. Delia was proud of her father's work, and also of her husband's great photography. I am very fortunate to have known her. My condolences to the family.

I was just thinking of Delia, and fond memories of Great Neck. She
was my "boss" at the Great Neck Library, where I worked as a projectionist
for film programs. She was a mentor.
But also, she helped me with work at her home when I took time off from
college after my father had passed.
I am sad to learn of her passing. Please accept my belated, and deepest condolences.

My condolences to your family. I had the pleasure of working with both Bill and Delia for many years on his Jazz photo collection. Delia was a wonderful person, full of fire and spirit. I am saddened by her passing; but what a life she had!
