CALVANESE--Dennis A. It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Dennis A. Calvanese, age 85, of Naples, FL on January 19th, 2024. Having grown up in the Chicago area Dennis attended DePaul University for two years, when his professors encouraged him to pursue his MBA from the University of Chicago. Dennis then embarked on a distinguished international career within the pharmaceutical information industry. He rose to the position of COO at IMS Health developing the first online pharmaceutical database - Midas. Dennis' sharp wit and sarcasm was always a source of great entertainment. Above all Dennis loved his wife and family. Beloved husband of 57 years to Sandra J. Calvanese, nee Nowak; loving father of Michelle (Jim) Schroeder, Paxton Calvanese, Bartholomew (Margaret) Calvanese, and Amy (Michael) Mangin; cherished grandfather of Steven, Renee, and Kevin Calvanese, Nora and Sophie Calvanese; dear brother of Candice (Joe) Bartucci, the late Melody Hartmann, and the late Dorena (Dan) Brescia. Visitation Friday, February 2nd, 4pm - 8pm. Funeral Saturday, February 3rd, 10:30am at Sullivan Funeral Home, 60 South Grant Street, Hinsdale, IL. Interment private.
