We were terribly sorry to learn of Doris' passing. Doris and my mother, Phyllis Gluckin Slotnick were first cousins and Doris was an integral member of our extended family. She attended many wonderful occasions and was always a welcome guest at our family Bar Mitzvahs, Weddings and gatherings. Doris was the matriarch of our family on our maternal side. She and my grandfather, Emmanuel Gluckin were siblings and she was and will always remain a beloved family member. We cherish many of Doris' beautiful hand-knit sweaters which she lovingly created in celebration of the births of my children, my nephew and cousins' children and most recently my grandson, Jack who was born in May 2019. Doris, mom, my cousin Stephanie and I kept in touch by phone and email and we enjoyed the visits to her home. Doris's joys were her family and her independence and she often shared stories of her childhood and later years as I was always inquisitive wanting to learn about our extended family tree. Please know how much we loved Doris and that we wish the family comfort and wish to all know how beloved and admired Doris wasand she will always remain a special place in our hearts and memories. May her memory be a blessing.

Hello Stan, Neil, Andy...60 years have swept by, but memories are still vivid, with infinite gratitude and nostalgia for all that wonderful and generous couple conveyed and gave to the adolescent me that year I spent with them in Roslyn...and after!
It is too late to make up lost communication with Doris and Julie, but not too late to catch up with you...

My mind goes to Doris and Julie together. How she cared for him and how grateful he was for her. May their spirits be together. He driving, she navigating thru New York City always finding a spot or double parking -- always together.
With many vivid memories and our condolences to the family, Cindy and Larry Weissblum
