Ed was a Professor at Cooper for twenty years. He loved Cooper Union and his students. He played an important part in
in bringing the Air Resources Department
of New York City into the new century. He
made an important impression on the whole

Durin my tenure a professor of chemical engineering, from 1957 to 1967, at the Cooper Union School of Engineering, I came to learn of Ed Ferrand as a fine, dedicated teacher and model for students and colleagues alike. My heart goes to his family and friends and students who came through his class rooms.
