Ned Regan was one of the sharpest minds shaping corporate governance in the late 20th and early 21s centuries. He worked tirelessly behind the scenes to advocate meaningful financial reporting. One of the greats, for sure.

I worked for Mr. Regan in 1984-85 as the junior member of his Policy Analysis team, along with the late James Carberry and Peter Mirabella. I found Ned to be a very intelligent person, a most able administrator and pretty shrewd surfer through the shoals of New York State politics.
I learned much about public policy and government fiscal issues while working for him. This experience helped me later in my professional life and I'm grateful that Ned gave me the chance to learn about such topics.
When he was the President at Baruch College, I would run into him fairly often as I then lived in that neighborhood. Always accessible, he would take the time to chat with me, despite his constantly busy schedule.
Being a fellow alumnus of Hobart College, I am most proud of his achievements as they reflected well on our alma mater.
My condolences to his family and friends.

It was my privilege to serve as Ned Regan's personal secretary from his early days as Erie County Executive into his first term as New York State Comptroller. He was a man of integrity, wisdom and kindness. I extend sincere condolences to his family, colleagues, and especially to his friends from Buffalo, NY. Sincerely, Linda C.

My father worked many years with Mr. Regan on the New York State budget. My father was very proud of his association with Mr. Regan and always remarked that he was a man of high moral fiber and honor.
May he rest in peace and may his memory be for a blessing.
