HOWARD BUSLOFF

BUSLOFF--Howard J. Howard J. Busloff passed away at the age of 87 on October 16, 2025, in New York, NY. Born in 1938, in West Hempstead, NY, Howard built a successful career as a financial planner in the insurance industry, providing dedicated service to his many clients who were primarily educators and Legal Aid employees. Howard leaves behind his beloved wife Doris of 58+ years, and his children, Stephanie and Ron. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harriet and Sol. Howard graduated from West Hempstead High School and later graduated from the University of Vermont, where he cultivated a lifelong passion for learning, development and sports. His academic pursuits laid a strong foundation for his successful career in finance. Howard and Doris lived for 28 years in Plainview, NY before moving to Manhattan where they have lived for the past 27 years. They spent their time making the most of the City, walking around, eating out, going to movies and sporting events, and attending the theater. Known for his kind and generous nature, Howard was a great listener and always available to offer wise advice. His interests in travel, film, and baseball, particularly the New York Mets (and the New York Giants before them), brought him much joy and enriched his life significantly. A service to celebrate Howard's life will be held at Riverside Memorial Chapel on Sunday, October 19, 2025, at 11:30am. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Howard J. Busloff Scholarship Fund at the University of Vermont, honoring his commitment to education and support for future generations. LGM
