Elizabeth Esposito and I met at Lincoln Center around the time Giancarlo was performing there in a play I wrote, "Punk Plutonium." She was kind, open-hearted, and generous in her praise. I consider myself fortunate to have met her. Shanti !!

You and my mother share the same first name and I really wished I'd gotten the chance to meet you. Your son Giancarlo says he gets his passion and zest from you. Rest in heavenly peace.

I was directed here through NPR's Fresh Air podcast featuring Giancarlo Esposito. Very informative interview, with a very moving tribute to Elizabeth Foster Esposito by her son.

I was deeply moved today listening to Giancarlo, Elizabeth's son, speak so eloquently about her on the radio program Fresh Air. She was clearly an artist blessed with great gifts. It's sad that she never received proper recognition for her contributions to the arts. Her career might have been turned out very differently had she had the same sort of opportunities afforded to her caucasian counterparts.

I didn't know she was Giancarlo's mother. Genius actor. May she R.I.P. and my condolences.
