Erica Jesselson Obituary

JESSELSON--Erica. The officers, board and staff of the American Technion Society (ATS) mourn the loss of Erica Jesselson of Riverdale, NY. A woman of boundless energy and exuberance who was involved with numerous causes in the Jewish community, Mrs. Jesselson was a devoted supporter of our organization for more than a quarter century. She was a Technion Guardian, representing the highest level of support, a Life Trustee of the ATS Board of Regents and a past member of the national Board of Directors. With a passion for the spiritual wellbeing of Technion students, faculty and staff, Mrs. Jesselson, together with her husband Ludwig, of blessed memory, established the Ohel Aharon Synagogue on the Technion campus and supported projects that helped the synagogue and Jewish life flourish, including the Cultural Programs Fund. The Jesselsons also established the Talmudic Study Center, making it possible for Technion students who so desired to lead an observant lifestyle, while at the same time be fully involved in a world-class science and engineering institution. To her sons Michael, Daniel and Benjamin Jesselson, and the entire Jesselson family, we offer our heartfelt condolences. American Technion Society Joan Seidel, President Dr. Stephen A. Laser, Chairman, Board of Directors Melvyn H. Bloom, Executive Vice President Alan Forman, New York Metropolitan Region Chairman Nancy Gad-Harf, New York Metropolitan Region Director
