My wife, Mogie, and I send our very sincere and deep feelings of condolences to Terry and all of Ethan’s family.

Ethan was a most unique and amazing individual and a very good, long time friend. We grew up together from the earliest years of grade school.
He will be missed by all of us who knew him.
My heart is very sad.

Each time Ethan and I got together I found myself laughing my head off.
He was simply the best conversationalist of all.
He was a great, great man.

My first encounter with Ethan was a few years ago up near Moosehead lake. It was hunting season and I went up for a visit at Matt Curry's tent which many people over the years were familiar with.My friend Randy had harvested a moose earlier and when I pulled into the campsite I noticed there weren't any vehicles(they were all out bird hunting),so this was a huge tent with cook stove etc. I opened the flap and stepped inside and was greeted by this man with an earring, shorts and sandals cooking something in a frypan,I nodded hello and he stabbed a piece of meat from the frypan and passed it to me,I took it and assumed it was moose(it did have a certain "gamey" taste) but was very tender.I asked "tenderloin?" He replied "testicle"Much fun was had at my expense for a couple of days as they thought my neck was swelling and was accused of rubbing my ears in the elders.I soon heard of many stories from a worldly fellow that wasn't a stranger to other customs, diets, etc. Thanks for the experience Ethan(I think) Lol. R.I.P.

Growing up on 700 Acre Island I always remember Ethan as being a dear friend to my Mom and Dad. I remember always referring to him as Uncle Ethan as it always seemed as though he was part of our family. I think the thing I remember the most is how very kind and witty he was and how he always had such wonderful stories. Ethan loved life and always seemed to be such a free spirit. I always looked up to him and admired his enthusiasm. RIP

Ethan was an enormous spirit. I’ve never known someone who could fill a room the way he did. His big dreams and bigger laugh, his wild hair and paint-splattered pants, I will never be at a loss to conjure a fond imagine of him in my mind. He was a giant bear of a man. He will be greatly missed.

Ethan was the first person to actually pay me to do a job: I was then a student in Architecture in London, and he hired me to help him recover nice old oak planks somewhere in Cornwall; We left really early mornong and ended up 5 hours later at this church up on a hill overlooking the sea.
It had been descralised the day before.
We spent the whole day breaking down the benches, and loading the boards in the van, and head back to town that evening.
I thought that was why he wore the nickname "the board". Only later did I learn there was another origin to this.
Well let me say that my first salary was just a lot of fun,and I have never taken any job afterwards if there wasn't fun attached to it, thanks Ethan.
