EUGENE SAPADIN

SAPADIN--Eugene, of Burlington, VT, age 73, on September 19. A graduate of Forest Hills High School, Middlebury College, Harvard University and the Claremont Graduate School in California, Gene was a popular professor of philosophy for 39 years at Johnson State College in Vermont and a dedicated researcher and lecturer at Wolfson College, Oxford University. He was friend, scholar, teacher, writer, uncle, brother and beloved curmudgeon. He leaves a huge Gene-shaped hole in the universe. A private memorial will be held in NYC on October 6 and a celebration of his life at Johnson State College on October 25.
