So sorry to read about the loss of Frankie Fuchs. He was my boyfriend, the first summer that I went to Racquette Lake Girls Camp. I remember his mom, Shirley as well, who was a lovely woman and if my memory serves me correctly, she was the counsellor for the youngest girls. Although Frankie and I didnt stay in touch after camp, i remember his face and great smile. With the Guthries, message, i now know much more about his journey. So sorry, for their loss of such a close friend. barbara Halperin Selling

I regarded Frankie as a friend from PS225 and Hebrew School at Manhattan Beach Jewish Center. Frankie was the guy I could not beat in track as well as the kid who did the clarinet solo when we had our school concert at Grady High School.
Rest in peace Frankie.

I just heard about Frankie's passing. I knew him way back when I was in my early teens. He was a few years older. Back then he was a great athlete, great looking (all the girls thought he looked like Paul McCartney) and a naturally cool guy that I looked up to. More than this, he was just plain nice I always knew that he would do special things in his life. As it turns out, he certainly did.

I was searching for you last year... I now realize, you were ill & it was just before your passing. Remembering all the times we spent in/out of Wizard Studio Briarcliff NY. Will never forget you twisting my arm to sing background vocals for you (the only one I would do for, btw) Along with having to be the one to tell you our assistant Engineer erased 2hrs of your 2" Master tape. Wish I had found you before you left. Such a really Nice Man... you will be missed Frank

Frank, your passing so saddens me. We last talked in the early 2000s, catching up on our respective lives since we last played together for Philips Records' Ross Legacy (1968,69), you on lead electric with "Eggy" on bass. What a treat to read all these touching comments on your beautiful soul, the man I missed seeing since I left for Nashville in late 1969. Love you from afar, old friend.

It seems Sundays I find myself thinking about treasures ,,,Frankie is a treasure who touched so many lives! I met Frankie in North Carolina April 1975, he and his band TONE were playing a gig and a bunch of us kids went to the subway, I met Frank and invited him to a party at a friends house well he came and we sat on a swing under a silver moon,,that moment I fell in love and yes Frankie did too,,,the next 14 years we lived together in NYC, Putnam Valley and back to NYC. He is the kindest person I have ever known my family adored Frankie as many of you know what is there not to love with such a kind loving man. Often I wake at night to walk outside and I see his bright light shining,,seems I hear him whisper ever so gently I am okay Sara Lee and you will be too. To all of his family and friends he will always be there for each and everyone from afar. Andy, Eggy and Gary etc.. he loved ya'll more than I can put in words. Cherish his music, wisdom and his great LOVE..Peace and God Bless...with my love to you Frankie Lee you will always be my shining star!!

I want to thank everyone who so far is coming to pay honor to Frankie at his memorial on Sept. 7 th. Frankie and I discussed what we would like our friends to do when we were gone. He asked me to have the service at a Temple (I chose the one that he attended near his North Hollywood home) and after go somewhere and celebrate.. so that is what we are doing out here in L.A. Everyone is invited.. The room holds 350 people at Adat Ari El in North Hwd. Sept. 7th at 4 p.m. Come one ..come all.. Frankie gave to everyone
scussed what we would like

Thank you both for coming to bring smiles to our seniors over the past three and a half years.

To Paige and the Guthrie Family,
Frankie was an amazing human being and a most talented musician.
We are grateful for his generous support of Sunset Hall. His performance at our Garden Party in 2012, which included his band and Paige was stellar!
The world has lost a kind and loving man too soon. Frankie's legacy will live on in all who loved him.
With affection, on behalf of the Sunset Hall Board of Directors, the Members and myself,

The year was 1957, I was only 7 at the time but I lived right around the corner from Frankie and he was the older guy that I looked up to, he went out with all the popular girls, he rode his bike all over the beach, played basketball with the older guys, then came the guitar and his love of music, next thing I know he is hanging with the Guthries who were friends of my dad, anyway Frankie was my hero and my brother from another mother and I miss you mucho, RIP

Lives begin and end,but friendship is forever. Frankie was and is a forever friend to me. We were friends from the time we were 31/2 years old, he in his red snowsuit, I in mine, digging for treasures on Amherst Street. We swam in the ocean together with our mothers in Brighton Beach. We sang, danced and played music together at P.S.225....
Then our lives took different paths, yet we were always there for each other in heart and mind.
Two years ago, a bunch of us got together at my house and we danced, sang and played music like we did over 50 years ago. And we giggled, hugged, giggled and hugged. Frank brought some old pictures and we reminisced. It was a very special day.
Now all that is a memory, a forever memory ,etched in my heart and mind ....just as you are

Frankie was my first friend and knowing that he is no longer with us has saddened me deeply. He is my security question when you forget your password, "Who was your first friend" and will always be. We go back to PS 225 and the band and those were great times when life was simpler. Though we have been out of touch for most of our lifes you will always be my first friend. I miss you.

Frankie, my old friend. We lost touch, and now I can only remember. But what I remember is the warmth and good spirit that always radiated from you. I will always remember with great fondness our times growing up in Manhattan Beach/Brighton Beach. Mimeograph squad at PS225 cutting out early for lunch; playing ball in the streets and finally becoming "Merging Traffic"; you as rhythm guitarist and song writer and me as lead singer, thru high school and college rehearsing and arranging at Marge Guthrie's dance studio. You stuck with it and I gave up after college to make a living in my dad's art restoration studio. I always admired your strong will and conviction and was so glad to have reuned with you 2 years ago to sing the songs that never made us famous but which gave us so much pleasure creating. Rest in peace my friend; nothing can take away the cherished memories of having a childhood friend like Frank Fuchs.
