I am so sorry to hear of Dean´s passing, we became fast friends when I went to him for consulting, right around the time he adopted a new dog and his brother was getting married. We´d always chat here and there. We lost touch when I moved but I thought of him today and my heart is broken for him, his family and friends. Grief is a strange thing and It is my sincerest hope that you all find comfort and peace as you navigate a challenging time. Loss of a loved one is never easy. I won´t forget you, buddy.

I think of Dean often and the world misses him. I remember his honesty and enjoyed him, too, when he was mischievous. With Nicholas and Matthew, he kept a protective eye. I always loved that about him. Peace to his family.

I remember Dean as a little boy, dressed up for Halloween, as one of the Power Rangers. He was always full of fun. My deepest condolences to Virginia and his brothers.

Our hearts are broken for the way too early loss of this beautiful young man. My husband and I spent several holiday dinners in his company and found him to be intelligent, sensitive, and funny. He also always knew a good cookie. May he rest in peace.

An Allen-Stevenson longtime faculty member and parent, I was taken by the TWINKLE in Dean's eyes from the moment I met him decades ago. That Schroth look embodied magic and knowing and it never faded. In my mind's eye and for ALL who met Dean, it still endures. My heart is with Dean's Family and Friends.

We were devastated to hear the news of Dean´s passing last week.
I met Dean at the Allen Stevenson Art Show back in the Spring of 1994. He was only in first grade-despite his very young age, Dean´s incredible talents were way above his very young years. When I met Dean later that day, I told him that it was a great honor to meet someone so talented.
Soon my son and Dean became best friends- a friendship that lasted until Dean´s sad passing way before his time.
We were so thrilled that Dean was going to pay us a visit in Texas this coming Wednesday. My son was making plans where to take him- we were thrilled- unfortunately, instead of visiting us in Texas, we will be saying goodbye.
Dean, we are going to miss you more than words can express.
You will always be in our hearts, minds and prayers.
Sending my heartfelt condolences to his Mom, Virginia, brothers, Matthew and Nicholas friends and all his family.
I am not very good with words, but, hopefully, what I feel will be known. Dean was very special to us.
Jon & I are truly heartbroken.
