George Perle

PERLE--George. The Faculty and Staff of the Aaron Copland School of Music at Queens College mourn the passing of our beloved colleague, Professor Emeritus George Perle. Perle was a great American composer. His music and his pathfinding studies in 20th-century music will enlighten generations to come. He taught at Queens College from 1961 to 1985. A scholarship fund for the study of composition has been established in his honor at the School of Music.
