In another life, 25 years ago, I spent a lot of time with Harold, as my counsel at Salomon Brothers. I valued his wisdom and sense of humor, at a time when I needed both. I am deeply saddened to see him pass.

Harold was a good friend during our first year at Cornell Law and will always be remembered by me for his humor and positive spirit. Just a wonderful person all round.

Harold was a friend during that treacherous first year at Cornell Law School in 1974-75. We were sad when he told us he would be going to Oxford the following year and would not graduate with us in the Class of '77. But the sadness of a 23 year old is nothing compared to how we now feel our great loss.
HIs life did so much good for both those who knew him personally and those who benefitted from his contributions to education and bridging economic inequity.
He was a mensch, a wit, and a visionary. His memory is a blessing.
