HAROLD RUBIN Obituary

RUBIN--Harold M.,

Who died on June 12, no longer has to grapple with the aggressive Multiple Myeloma he suffered for three years. Ellen's most beloved husband of 51 years, devoted father to Ben (Jessica) and Andrew (Shannah), proud Papa to Grace, Ryan, Paige, Zillin and Jude, cherished twin brother of Ed (Susan), adored uncle, great uncle, and dear friend and trusted advisor to many. Born in the Bronx to Al and Elsie Rubin, Harold received his MBA from Baruch College, CUNY '66 and went on to a renowned career in finance. As a money manager, he was recognized for his professional integrity, acumen, personal attention, and unique people skills. Sharing and enjoying time with his family was always Harold's first priority. All of his nieces, nephews, and grandchildren welcomed and will remember his signature blow/cheek kisses, tricks, and games. He valued the strong bonds and caring relationships he had with friends who sought his sage advice. His encouraging counsel continues to guide them. Harold leaves a legacy of kindness, caring, devotion, commitment, and generosity of spirit. Services at Woodlands Community Temple, 50 Worthington Rd, White Plains, NY 10607; Thursday, June 14 at 11:30am. Donations may be made in Harold's honor to: The Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation, www.themmrf.org

I met Harold at work in 1975 and stayed friends with him down the years and right up until his illness. He was a prince of a man, a brilliant and beautiful man. Thanks for the memories, Harold.

Still wears that wonderful smile he wore when I first met Harold and Ed more than a half-century ago.
A lovely, lovely man.
