HARRIET MANN Obituary
85, of Old Tappan, died May 14 after a brave two-year battle with cancer. Born and raised in the Bronx, she attended Music and Art High School and graduated from Hunter College. Mrs. Mann taught elementary and junior high school for several years. She was married 46 years to Dr. Sidney Mann, a Fair Lawn orthodontist. She was a talented artist whose paintings were featured in New Jersey-area exhibitions. Mrs. Mann was predeceased by Dr. Mann, parents, Pauline and Sam Griss, and sister, Joan Ziegler. She's survived by her children, Steven Mann, and his wife, Robyn, and Linda Spelling, and her husband, Ian; grandchildren, Justin, Molly, Sydney, Giselle, Max and Jamie; nephews, Larry, Sam and Ted; niece, Susan; and sister-in-law, Racelle. A memorial service was held May 15 at Robert Schoem's Menorah Chapel Paramus, followed by burial at King Solomon Memorial Park in Clifton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in the name of Harriet Mann to the American Cancer Society.
