HARVEY RUBIN Obituary

RUBIN--Harvey. Harvey, son of Joseph and Esther Rubin, brother of Sheldon and Barry, passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2022, surrounded by his beloved family. At 19, he married his 17-year-old sweetheart, Judith Lowe. They were devoted in marriage for 62 years. Adoring father of Jonathan, wife Cathy, Jamie, former wife Christiane, Elizabeth, partner David, and Natalya's father, Ramin. Even more adoring Papa to Zoe, Darius, and Natalya. As an immigrant kid from Bensonhurst, he thrived at pool, three-card monty, poker, and bridge. A Columbia graduate, engineer, and entrepreneur, he served as executive vice president of Primary Industries; and president of Satra Corporation, one of the rare Cold War- Era, Soviet-American trading companies. Mid-career, he left international trade behind to become founder and publisher of Pindar Press. He was Larchmont Cub Scout Master for many years, and a president of Columbia College Alumni Association. Harvey's life will be celebrated at 4pm on Thursday, July 28, in person and on livestream at Larchmont Temple. In his memory, contributions may be made to the Columbia College Fund as gifts designated for financial aid.

Dear Jonathan, Jamie and Elizabeth. It´s Ben Jacobson. I recently learned of Harvey´s passing. Please accept my condolences. I considered him a close friend and enjoyed attending your weddings. I´d be happy to share some memories of your parents. (917)208-6887
