Henry Eyre Obituary

EYRE--Henry. The trustees, staff, and members of the Columbia County Historical Society mourn the passing of our distinguished and beloved trustee Henry N. "Jim" Eyre, Jr. Jim was the founding editor of the Society's Columbia County History & Heritage magazine and Chairman of its capital campaign to restore the James Vanderpoel House in Kinderhook, NY. All of our lives were enriched by his spirit and drive, and legacy of treating everyone with respect and compassion. His unselfish and passionate dedication inspires us to continue his work. We further extend our sympathy to Jim's wife Bonnie, ever a loyal partner in many of his accomplishments.

Dear Eyre Family,

I am very sorry for the loss of your loved one. Losing someone in death is so hard to cope with and my heart goes out to you during this difficult time. We all wait for the day when these promises come true: And God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things will have passed away. May you find some comfort from the memories of your loved family member and friend.

Our sincere condolences are with you and your family. May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. Jim was a wonderful person and we are happy and fortunate to have known him.
