MEISTER--Henry.

We would like to announce the passing of Henry Meister on Sunday, July 9, 2017. He was surrounded by his closest family members: wife Joan, daughters Laurie, Wendy, and Beth, and son Keith. Henry was born on July 10, 1930 in Brooklyn, NY the son of Ida Meister and brother to Albert and Phillip Meister. He remained in Brooklyn a product of the Brownsville ghetto where he attended Brooklyn Tech High School. From high school, he went on to graduate from City College of New York where he graduated with a degree in mathematics, followed by a master's degree in mathematics and teaching from NYU. He then moved to Hartford, CT in 1955 where while working for Pratt Whitney aircraft earned a degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in mechanical engineering. After marrying Joan Avis Kalin in May of 1959 they moved back to New York ultimately settling in Rye Brook. He received his brokerage license and began working for Bache and Co as a stock broker. Later, he moved to the Ernst and Co brokerage office on the grounds of the Westchester Country Club in Harrison, NY, which he managed until retirement. They have maintained their home in Rye Brook ever since. He is survived by his wife Joan, daughters Laurie, Wendy and Beth, son Keith, and grandchildren Hayley, Arielle, Skyler, and Ilana.
