HOWARD GINSBURG

GINSBURG--Howard, M.D., age 83, beloved husband of Judi, father to Deborah, Andrew, and Karen, brother to Eleanor and the late Richard, grandfather to Benjamin, Leo, and Remi, and uncle to many nieces and nephews. Former chief of surgery at LaGuardia Hospital, later named North Shore University Hospital in Forest Hills, where he practiced for over 30 years. Howard was house goalie for Eliot House at Harvard University as an undergraduate, completed medical school at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, followed by service as a lieutenant commander in the United States Navy. Howard will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his devotion and commitment to his family and his patients, his humbleness and intellect, and as a man of the highest moral character, with a conviction to always do the right thing.
