My Mother and I were patients of Dr. Barber's for almost 20 years. He was truly a dedicated and brilliant physician as well as a caring friend. When we visited Dr. Barber's office we always knew that we would be received warmly both by himself and his wonderful assistant, Bridie. Both made us feel comfortable and at ease. We cannot think of another doctor's office where we would hear Irish music playing in the background and sit waiting for our appointment surrounded by teddy bears. We looked forward to Bridie's hugs and Dr. Barber's thoughts on the world's current events. We always left with smiles on our faces. Our deepest sympathy goes out to Mrs. Barber, Bridie and all of the Barber family.

My Dearest Dr Barber and friend, you gave me my life back when I first visited you when I was 32 years old that was 25 years ago. In my eyes and I'm sure in others you gave us a new lease on life. You comforted us and we trusted in you for you always had the patience and the infinte knowledge to know that we were going to be OK. For 25 years I visited with you every 6 months and always would go across the street to St Jean the Baptiste Church and thank God for you and how you always took good care of me. You were a brilliant man, with a wonderful sense of humor and a beautiful bedside manner. I will miss you. May God Bless you in Heaven and may all your little teddy bears give you eternal hugs every day in heaven. Thank you also Brydie for being such a beautiful person you treated each and every one like family. How special and fortunate I was to have both of you in my life.

For 26 years I have visited Dr. Barber at least every 6 months. He literally gave me life and the gift of life by deciding I was too young to give up on the hope of being able to have a child. As I look at my 16 year old daughter, I am deeply grateful to Dr. Barber for his wisdom, kindness, optimism, and humor. Along with the amazing Brydie, 122 E 76 was my home away from home. My deepest condolences to his family and to the vast extended family that loved him so much.

With such a feeling of loss, we cannot express in words what we feel when we think of Dr. Barber no longer being with us. He took such good care of all of us for so many years. God must be very happy that he is with him in Heaven! We will always remember and miss him dearly. Our prayers are with his entire family. Much Love, Patricia Strynkowski, Joan Tozzo, and Inga Horn.
