IMMANUEL KOHN Obituary

KOHN--Immanuel (Ike). The partners, associates and staff of Cahill Gordon & Reindel LLP are profoundly saddened by the passing of Immanuel Kohn (fondly referred to as "Ike"), our esteemed former chairman, partner, and friend of 60 years. Ike was a strong and effective leader who served for 33 years as a member of Cahill's executive committee and as its chairman for 15 years. Ike was an accomplished lawyer who for many years was a trusted advisor to the Firm's clients and helped the Firm to define and distinguish its practice during an era of dramatic development in the financial and insurance markets. In addition to his law practice at Cahill, he was for many years a Trustee (and, later, Trustee Emeritus) at the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton, NJ, and served on the advisory board of the Princeton Symphony Orchestra. We are proud to have been his partners, friends and colleagues. Our deepest sympathies to his wife, Vera, and their four children, Gail Kohn, Peter Kohn and wife Margaret, Sheila Kohn, Robert Kohn and wife Susan Hendrickson, and their six grandchildren, Megan, Emily, Michael, Jason, Sarah and Katherine.
