Alan, I remember you and your family very well. My father, Gene Habas, was a good friend of Irving and helped found the Society of Security Analysts with him. I remember visiting your family in Belle Harbor and Mattituck and enjoying sparkling conversation.
Irving was truly one of a kind and our thoughts are with all of you.

You, sir, will always be an inspiration to all value investors and indeed to anyone who wants to live a rich, full life doing what they love. While we never met, your passing fills me with great sadness. If I can achieve even a tenth of what you achieved in your time here, I will leave this planet a happy man. Rest in Peace, Irving Kahn. You will be deeply missed.

Oh, Irving, you are gone too soon. I never finished learning from but you were a wonderful "guiding light". Thank you for your time & invaluable insights.
