ISABELLE RAPIN
RAPIN-- Isabelle, MD.

Montefiore Medicine and Albert Einstein College of Medicine are deeply saddened by the passing of our revered colleague Dr. Isabelle Rapin, professor emerita in the Saul R. Korey Department of Neurology and of pediatrics, and a neurologist at Montefiore. Isabelle organized and led a major clinical/basic science program that brought together colleagues at Einstein and Montefiore. An expert in communication disorders and autism, she was instrumental in understanding the relationship between brain structure and function throughout the life span. Her sense of scholarship and teaching influenced generations. She was a beacon to countless colleagues and trainees, renowned for her dedication to taking care of people of all ages: friends, colleagues and, foremost, patients. We extend our heartfelt condolences to her husband Harold Oaklander and the entire Rapin family. Steven M. Safyer, MD President and CEO Montefiore Medicine Allen M. Spiegel, MD Marilyn and Stanley M.
