JACK HERSHCOPF

HERSHCOPF--Jack, accomplished metal trader, sculptor, and board member for the New York Gilbert and Sullivan players, passed on January 30th in good spirits and with love for family and country. He was buried with military honors. After retiring, Jack became an auxiliary police officer with the New York City Police Force on the Central Park beat. The last phase of his life in NYC he worked both as a docent for the Central Park Zoo and as an assistant for Channel 13. His beloved wife Berta died in 2002 and Jack moved from 875 Park Avenue to California in 2007. He is survived by his two daughters Sheli Nan- Tabachnik and Amy Levine, seven grandchildren: Azriel, Mateo, Aviva, Solomon, Samuel, Asher, Ariel, and two great-grandchildren, Roman and Gemma.
