James Bogdanoff Obituary

BOGDANOFF--James, 47. With great sorrow, family and friends announce the passing of our beloved Jamie, on February 29, 2008. Jamie represented all that is good in this life. He was a loving husband to Robin Messing, adoring Dad to Phoebe, devoted uncle to Justin and Russell Romano, James Sui, and Sofia Mia Canale, and beloved son of Phyllis. He will be missed by his close circle of family and friends. Jamie was born and raised in New York City and was a loyal summer resident of Monterey, MA. He graduated from Friends Seminary in 1978 and earned a Bachelor's degree from Clark University in 1982. Shortly after graduation, he began his Emmy winning Television news career, working in the library at ABC News. He spent seven years at ABC working his way up the ranks, followed by producing jobs at King World, Fox and Lifetime. In 2003, he returned to ABC as a senior producer for "Good Morning America". Everywhere he went, he was adored by those who worked for or with him. He was a rare gem in a crazy business, who will forever be remembered for his infectious smile, fun loving personality, obsession with sports, and passion for fishing. Services were held Sunday, at Riverside Chapel. For further information about Shiva, and donations in James' name to Clark University, please visit: www.caringbridge.org (jamesbogdanoff)
