To my friend Jeff,
I knew you before and after you married your beloved Debi.
I knew you when you became father to your beloved Alyssa and Danny.
I knew you when you ran the NYC Marathon, and you looked simply marvelous.
I knew you when when you started a business and became successful.
I knew you were a loyal and loving son.
I know for certain your life was well lived.
And, I also know, I will miss you.
Love to Debi, Alyssa, and Danny
Your friend, Laura

Debbie, Alyssa and Daniel. Jeff was a true friend. I never met you but whenever I was in NYC I would contact Jeff and he would always find time to meet me for a Yankee game or the big east tournament to watch syracuse. My heart aches for you. I know what a wonderful person we have lost.

My Dear Friend - the sad news of your untimely passing reached me. Though separated over the years, you were always close in my thoughts. Our connection began in our earliest years, quickly becoming pals, tried and true. It was easy to be your friend. Your accepting nature, your tolerant and non-judgmental point of view were among your many virtues. Early on you shared with me your longing to create a family and make roots. You succeeded so nicely. You competed rigorously on and off the field. You were a graceful winner. I will remember you well. I will miss you. My condolences to Debbie, Alyssa, Daniel and the Goldstein and extended families. I am so pained by this loss. - Your old friend, Joey

Although not personally close with Jeff, I know he was a great father and mentor by the wonderful, kind-hearted children he raised and the family he kept. Danny was always a very giving and inclusive individual throughout the years that we knew one another. My condolences are with his family in this hard time.

We were 15 or 16 years old. New to football camp, run by Coach Miller before Labor Day for Horace Mann's team. After a week of running three a day drills, we assembled for that day's morning run. Coach said that those who wished to attend Church, it being Sunday, did not have to run and to raise their hands. Suddenly, I heard Coach yell, "Goldstein, put your hand down!"
After that, I had a new friend on the team.
Jeff was one of the coolest people I ever met. We didn't have much contact after high school, but I never forgot him. Probably not many people did.
He was a great teammate and a great guy. My condolences to his family and friends.
I know Jeff and I will meet again, maybe to play some ball.

Jeff was there for me when I really needed help....He was the funniest guy I ever knew - endlessly deadicated to fun, music, and laughter. The world is absolutely the worse for his loss. We'll miss you my friend...

What words can describe such an honest, brilliant and say it like it was kinda guy. That was the essence of Jeff. He was loved by all and if you didn't like him, well honestly I couldn't like you. Jeffrey always popped in unannounced and knew that he was always welcome in our home, anytime day or night. I remember fondly him sitting at my dining room table
In the a.m and me going down the stairs half asleep-in my nightgown looking like the bride of Frankenstein. I would ask him "Jeff, stay right there until I get a cup of coffee, before I can talk to you or anyone ." We then would sit with my husband Frank and always enjoy our conversations. My husband rarely connects with people but that was never the case with Jeff. They truly loved, admired and respected one another and shared a unique and strong bond. Our family met over twenty years ago and our friendship became so much more. I consider the Goldstein's my family. There isn't a thing I wouldn't do for them.
Jeff's passing has left an imprint in my families heart and soul. He will be so very missed. Selfishly I wish his body was still here to continue his early morning impromptu visits and love we shared. The only thing that consoles us is that which he left behind, his spirit and the love and memories that have been engraved in our hearts...our friend, our family....Jeff we will miss you so very much. Rest in peace and know that we will always be there for your family. Until we meet again, keep rocking our dear Dead Head
