JOAQUIN ROMAGUERA Obituary

ROMAGUERA-- Joaquin Fidel, Jr. As the curtain closes and the audience goes home, the artist cleans his face for the last time. A seminal character actor, Joaquin appeared in over 70 operatic roles and 24 musical comedies. His mighty tenor voice stopped the show on Broadway as Pirelli in Stephen Sondheim's award-winning musical, "Sweeney Todd" -- the role of his lifetime. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, "brother dear" and uncle. A master storyteller and orator, his final bow was May 9, 2023. He tours another world, regaling us in our memories. "Love you more."
