Jonathan KAPLAN Obituary
45, of New York City passed away on July 7, 2017. Loved son of Diane and Carl Kaplan, beloved brother of Lynn Kaplan, cherished uncle of Emery Meenan. He was a good, kind and compassionate friend to all. A math and technical whiz, he was a master bridge and card player and he loved his time in the weight room. May he sleep in innocence, without worry and with complete rest. Funeral services will be private with a memorial service being planned.

I´m not sure if you´re getting these messages still but I just found out about Jonathan´s passing. I was one of your neighbors at 180. I was friends with Jonathan as a kid. He was great. I´m so sorry for your loss. I just want your family to know that. Xo

I am sorry for your loss. I met Johnathan at the Ace Point Club. We became friends and backgammon partners. We were in the finals of a beginners tournament in Dallas and he beat me fair and square. I will miss him dearly.

I was very saddened to hear of Jonathan's untimely passing. We were former neighbors on 80th and he came to my wedding and gave us such a thoughtful gift. He was quiet, kind, and so smart. My thoughts are with his family and friends.

Jonathan was a great guy. Caring and always there for his friends. I'll always be incredibly grateful for the time I spent with him. I remember Jonathan at my wedding out in the hamptons, blue plaid sports jacket, scotch in hand and having a really funny conversation with this famous weather man and having no idea who he was. He asked him if he liked taking about the weather on tv and then out of no where came up with two very advanced books on theories of why weather changes which caused the weather man to clearly feel out of his element. He was so smart that way. Always had something to say about any topic. I'll miss you pal.
