JOSE BASELGA

BASELGA--Dr. Jose. The Trustees of the Columbia Grammar & Preparatory School and the entire School community mourn the loss but celebrate the life and achievements of beloved parent and Trustee, Jose Baselga, MD, PhD. Dr. Baselga, an internationally renowned scientist and oncologist, was a native of Spain and prominent in the New York and international medical communities. He served as a CGPS Trustee since 2018 during which time he supported our innovative science curricula and most recently played a crucial role in designing the School's response to COVID-19. We are grateful for his expert guidance, brilliant intellect and sincere kindness.The School community unites in extending its sympathy and support to Jose's wife, Silvia Garriga, and their four children.
