JOY PRIZIO Obituary

PRIZIO--Joy, 68, of New York City passed away on July 27, 2024 from complications of spinal meningitis at Lenox Hill Hospital, NYC. Joy, born in Port Chester, NY, was the daughter of Billie Prizio, and the late Anthony Prizio; and devoted sister of Gay Prizio. Joy was valedictorian of The School of the Holy Child in Rye, NY, Class of '73 and graduated from Georgetown University, School of Business Administration, Magna cum laude, Class of '77. Her career started in the Chase Manhattan Bank training program. She worked in Paris for Chase and was one of the youngest officers in the Paris branch. During the past 20 years, Joy was associated with the Reserve Bank of Australia. She worked closely with Australians transferring to the New York branch and many professional relationships became close friendships throughout her tenure. Joy will be remembered for her generosity, kind heart, strong work ethic, and love of family and friends. A memorial mass will be held at Church of the Resurrection, 910 Boston Post Rd, Rye, NY on Friday, August 9, 2024 at 12pm. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Lenox Hill Hospital, 100 E. 77th Street NY, NY 10075.
