JUDITH WEINBERG

WEINBERG--Judith Lenore Zahler, age 97, on July 13, 2023. Loving wife to Charles for 68 years. An alumna of Smith College and Teachers College, Columbia University, she spent many fulfilling years as a reading teacher in Hawthorne, NY. A longtime Westchester resident, she also enjoyed quiet weekends with her family and friends in Hanover, NH. She was an avid traveler, with a special love for skiing, the arts, and anything dark chocolate. Her kindness and wit brought joy to so many. With her beloved Charles, Judy was also a founding member of Westchester Reform Temple. She is survived by her three children and their spouses, David Weinberg (Vivian), Jean Weinberg (Mark Dinaburg), and Barbara Groden (Walter); and her adoring grandchildren, Deborah, Philip, Suzanne (David), and Sarah, and great-grandchildren Carter and Mackenzie, along with many cherished nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Charles and her sister Mitzi Sands, Judy leaves behind a legacy of curiosity, empathy, and love, and she will be endlessly missed. Funeral service will be held at Westchester Reform Temple in Scarsdale on Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at 11:30am, and will be available to be streamed live on the WRT website. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to Westhab, White Plains Hospital, or Guiding Eyes for the Blind.
