I first met Karen in 1989 when I was placed by the YMCA summer program to work at BLC. Coming from Jamaica and traveling for the first time, the experience was daunting. However, Karen seamlessly guided and coordinated my summer, making the transition smooth and memorable.
In the summers that followed, I came to deeply appreciate of Karen's inclusive approach to working with people from diverse cultures. She, along with others at BLC, helped lay the foundation for the success of many individuals, myself included.
I hold Karen in my cherished memory, and I hope her legacy continues to inspire others. May her memory live on.

I had the pleasure of meeting Karen many years ago while on the job for Warren County Sheriffs Dept. She was an outstanding lady and so nice to show me around her house. It saddens me that the world has lost another Angel on this earth but she belongs to the Heavens now. Rest In Paradise Karen and thank you for the memory.

I was one of the Red Wing cohort -- in the mid-1940s-1950. What a wonderful time that was and how Karen stood out from our group. I remember that even then she was an excellent rider - beautiful form.
