KATHERINE GALE Obituary

GALE--Katherine Jean,

(nee Wallice). lifelong resident of Huntington, NY on October 13, 2015. Born February 9, 1922. Married 70 years to the love of her life, D. Kent Gale, (July 27, 1943), who predeceased her on March 5, 2014. Jean and Kent worked side by side for many decades at the Daniel Gale Agency, founded in 1922 by Kent's father, Daniel. Jean first worked as a secretary at the Daniel Gale Agency and became the first female real estate agent in 1939. She graduated from Central High School in Huntington, NY and was a longtime member of the Huntington Country Club. Loved ones left to cherish her memory are her children, Daniel K. Gale Jr., Stanley C. Gale and Mary Stokkers and their children and grandchild. Jean will be remembered as a devoted grandmother to Kelly J. Stokkers, Alyson Stokkers McKee, Kyle T. Stokkers, Stanley C. Gale Jr., Katherine J. Gale and Jaclyn L. Gale; and beloved great-grandmother to Brinley McKee. Private burial Saturday, October 17, followed by a celebration of Jean's life at 3:00pm for family and friends. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Visiting Nurse Hospice.
