Kathryn Flood Obituary

FLOOD--Kathryn G., of Manhattan and Great Neck, in her 92nd year, peacefully on January 2, in the company of her beloved daughter Mary Clare Friedlich (Flood) at North Shore Hospital. Beloved wife of her late husband George W. Flood. Beloved mother of James G. and beloved mother-in-law of Geraldine K. Flood and Mark L. Friedlich. Beloved grandmother of Elizabeth K. Flood and Alexander and Michael Friedlich. She is survived by brothers Joseph, Donald and Thomas McCarthy. Kathryn's life was dedicated to teaching, and her family and thousands of Cathedral High School students were forever helped by her. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Parkinson's Disease Foundation (www.pdf.org)

Jim and Mary Claire..

Your Mom was so nice to me growing up. She was genuinely interested in everything I did . She was sweet, kind and above all a wonderful mother...I know you will miss her a great deal. She leaves behind two wonderful legacies...the both of you..Love Cindy
