KEVIN NAUGHTON Obituary
NAUGHTON--Kevin D. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kevin D. Naughton, age 60, of Sands Point, NY, on September 26, 2022. Kevin was an accomplished senior executive with more than 30 years of experience in the investment management business and held a distinctive set of industry skills with extensive investment and new business development on a global basis with several world-class financial institutions. Prior to founding SandsPoint Capital Advisors LLC, Kevin served as the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer for Mount Kellett Capital Management, a $3 billion first time fund with 85 employees located in New York, London, Hong Kong and Mumbai. Kevin globally managed investor relations, management reporting, information technology, accounting, operations, human resources, tax structuring and compliance, financial reporting, risk management, cash management, legal and compliance. Before that he was a Managing Director and the Chief Financial Officer for Fortress Investment Group's Private Equity Division managing a 45- member team responsible for management of investor reporting, accounting, operations, tax structuring and compliance, financial reporting and cash management for $16 billion of equity across a dozen funds. Kevin joined Fortress after retiring from Goldman Sachs & Co. as a Managing Director after 17 years, where he held various positions including Chief of Staff to a 1,500- person Global Finance Division and his role serving as Co-Head of the Finance and Administration team for the Real Estate Private Equity business. During his career at Goldman, he was responsible for building out several operating platforms globally including Dallas, Paris, Milan, Rome, London, Tokyo, Bangkok, Amsterdam, and Seoul to support $70 billion of real estate and mortgage assets owned by the Whitehall funds. Kevin started his career at Price- waterhouseCoopers. He was a CPA and earned his BA in Accounting from Spring Hill College. The family will miss his infectious laugh and antics. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Cynthia, and their three children, Courtney, Kevin Jr., and Brendan.
