KEVIN ROVER

ROVER--Kevin Thomas. Kevin Thomas Rover, age 67, passed away at the Silverado Memory Care Community in Alexandria, Virginia on July 30, 2022. Kevin was born in Neptune, New Jersey on March 3rd, 1955, to Eleanor, nee Sauvan, and Harold "Hal" Rover. He attended Rumson Country Day School and Middletown High School in New Jersey before leaving to attend Dartmouth College in 1973. At Dartmouth, he made friendships that have lasted a lifetime. He majored in history, worked on The Dartmouth (the college newspaper), became an avid bridge player, and traveled outside of the U.S. for the first time in his life. After graduation, he went directly to New York University Law School, and he started working at Morrison, Paul & Beiley while finishing his studies. His mentor there, Peter Morrison, was a lifelong inspiration. In 1989, he transferred to Morgan, Lewis & Bockius, where he became a partner in the Securities Enforcement & Litigation group. In Manhattan, he developed a love of opera and on weekends, he took every opportunity to hit the links with his dewsweeper friends at the Scarsdale Golf Club. Kevin and Kristin, nee Powers, married in 1990 and raised two sons, Thomas Odell and Michael Henry, in Westchester, New York. He is survived by his wife and sons, as well as his brother and sister-law, Matthew and Lynne, and his niece, Kelsey. Per his wishes, his ashes will be scattered near his home-away-from- home on Maui.
