LAURIE THOMPSON Obituary
With deepest sadness, we mourn the passing of Laurie Thompson, February 28, 2016, at her Upper West Side home in New York City, after a long battle with pneumonia. She was 90 years old. Laurie Thompson was born April 9, 1925 in Middletown, NY. She was a loving mother to her sons, Stephen Arkin, Wayne Finegan and Jonathan Finegan. She is survived by her son, Wayne Finegan, three grandchildren, Michael Arkin, Cory Finegan and Edward Arkin and two great-grandchildren, Emma and Dylan Arkin. Laurie Thompson was a graduate of Hunter College. In 1981, Laurie Thompson established Laurie Thompson Consultants, a genealogy firm which she owned and operated for over 35 years. She was an internationally known professional genealogist. A celebration of her life will take place at Madison Avenue Presbyterian Church, 921 Madison Avenue, New York, New York 10021 on March 5, 2016 at 1pm.
