Elizabeth Willard Willett
November 13, 2007
Lee Mason Granger was the epitome of elegance, beauty and being a gracious, intelligent lady of which there are few today. She was one of my mother's (Elizabeth Chew Willard)closest and best friends all during my childhood, along with Doris Magowan. I remember her huge, magnificent apartment on Park Avenue. I remember when her son, Mason, was born. My mother and Lee Granger had their clothes made at Miss Starita. Her husband, David, became a great friend of my father and my stock broker. He was one of the longest serving brokers in history! We visited them many times in their house on the water in Southampton that they built. It was a wonderful life. This generation is fast disappearing and that makes me very sad. I will always have wonderful memories.
