LEON IMMERMAN

IMMERMAN--Leon Andrew. Leon Andrew Immerman, 71 of Dunwoody, GA died December 21, 2023 of cardiac complications. He was born December 9, 1952 to Abby and Rita Immerman in New York, went to Lafayette High School, got his BA from Carleton College, two Master Degrees from University of Minnesota, a Ph.D from Princeton and a Law Degree from Yale. Andy was law clerk for Judge Arlin Adams, US Court of Appeals for the 3rd Circuit. He married Joan Rulis in 1984 and joined the Philadelphia law firm of Schnader, Harrison, Segal & Lewis where he specialized in taxation. He and his family moved to Atlanta, GA where he joined the law firm of Alston & Bird. He was involved with the ABA and the Georgia Bar Association, taught, published, and presented and was listed as one of the top lawyers in Atlanta and the US. He will be remembered as a kind, humble and loving soul. who cherished his family for which he was exceedingly proud and to which he was passionately devoted. He is survived by Joan, sons David (Lisa) and Paul Immerman and sister Johanna (Tom) Baruch and extended family He will be sorely missed.
