I worked for Leonard and David for many years, running their 28th street store until it's closing. I then managed Kate's Paperie for a few years. Leonard and David welcomed me as family and trained me accordingly. Sam Flax is very missed in NYC

All my condolences to the Flax family. I have often been in contact with Leonard while working with Press Book Prat company; he has been for me a mentor and a trend leader, always nice and gentle. Hello to Lionel, whom I met in Paris while he was student!

I remember in 2015 in Atlanta Georgia, I was having my annual "The Art of Stationery" workshop and I brought in the attendees to shop and just learn the history of Sam Flax... and the manager surprised me with a visit from Leonard. This moment was so special because this store is where I learned everything. When Leonard Flax found out I was a stationery designer he took me under his wings and would frequently call me to see what I was working on. He would give me tips and just educate me on the industry. His legacy will forever continue because every moment I get I will tell everyone about him. Such a beautiful soul that I am forever grateful to have met. Love you Leonard... you did what you came here to do now it´s time for you to rest well.

I will always remember Lenoard as a kind loving man . Always full of wisdom always smiling. So creative so smart . When I think of Lenoard I think of the silk scarf around his neck as to replace the common tie. He always spoke of his loving family. A devoted man to his family and friends. My thoughts are with his family.
Lenoard I know you will be missed
