LORINDA DE ROULET

DE ROULET--Lorinda P. Lorinda P. de Roulet, lifelong philanthropist and community leader, passed away on October 26, 2025, at the age of 95. Born on May 8, 1930, she was the daughter of Joan and Charles Payson. Mrs. de Roulet attended Greenvale School and The Ethel Walker School before continuing her education at Wellesley College. In 1951, she married Vincent de Roulet of Los Angeles, California. Together they raised their family in Manhasset, New York, where she became a devoted mother and an active member of her community. Mrs. de Roulet succeeded her mother as president of the New York Metropolitan Baseball Club, a role that reflected her lifelong connection to her family's legacy in professional sports. Beyond baseball, she was deeply involved in civic and cultural institutions, serving on the boards of New York Presbyterian Hospital, Gracie Square Hospital, The Ethel Walker School, the Nassau County Museum of Art, and The Tilles Center. She also served as president of North Shore Hospital. A visionary in business and philanthropy, Mrs. de Roulet founded Shelter Rock Investors and established the Patrina Foundation, through which she dedicated decades of service to promoting opportunities for women and supporting community initiatives. Her passions included The New York Metropolitan Opera, tennis, bridge, baseball, and worldwide travel. She is survived by her three children, five grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren, all of whom will remember her grace, generosity, and steadfast commitment to the causes she loved. A private family service will be held to honor her life.
